Reject TDP, vote for change

(Online Desk)

Escalating electioneering by a few notches YSR Congress has affirmed that it has no truck with any political party and is fighting the battle single handed and appealed to the voters to reject TDP which has been coming to the people once again with false promises and luring them with crumbs as it has done during the previous elections.

Addressing a series of public meetings in Srikakulam, Vizianagaram, Visakhapatnam, East Godavari, West Godavari, Guntur and Prakasam districts YSRCP leaders YS Jagan Mohan Reddy, YS Vijayamma and YS Sharmila said the Party has no tie-ups or secret pacts with any political party and will support any dispensation after the polls that assures Special Category Status (SCS).

The announcement comes at a time when two national leaders are touring the neighbouring state and two chief minsters had addressed meetings in north coastal Andhra the previous day.

Taking Bhimavaram by storm, YS Jagan Mohan Reddy made a vitriolic attack on Chandrababu Naidu who was reportedly described as the richest chief minister.

When he began his political career he just had two acres of land.  But the unemployment rate has doubled during the past five years. Many local issues were not taken up by the actor-partner of the chief minister as they it is the welfare of Chandrababu Naidu that is the yardstick for welfare and not the improvement of quality of life for the residents of the state.

If Chandrababu Naidu comes to power, the state can never come back to normal and will be pushed into dire situations where anarchy prevails and the government will dictate terms to all the residents. This is the chance to vote for change. It is now or never as the atrocities of Chandrababu Naidu should be put to an end and this is the right time.

If he is voted to power, government schools will be closed down to promote his coterie Narayana-owned schools. People will have to pay exorbitant amount as fees and education will become and move away from the reach of common person. We have promised Amma Vodi scheme where in Rs 15,000 will be deposited into mother’s bank account for sending her two children to school. Fees reimbursement will be implemented and professional courses will be brought within the reach of weaker sections.

The meagre Rs 3,000 given to women groups is nothing but a bait and Chandrababu Naidu has been a known offender who always cheated people by not fulfilling the election promise. Compare the meagre Rs 3,000 with Rs 75,000 that women would be getting towards YSR Cheyutha added to the clearing of all dues of women groups in four instalments.

Weigh the pros and cons and compare the Rs 3,000 Chandrababu Naidu has been giving and the measure of welfare schemes waiting for you. What was promised by TDP will not materialise and we come from a family that has rolled in welfare measures that benefitted all sections of people, they said.

Farmers have got a raw deal all these years and irrigation has taken a back seat during the past five years. It was Dr YS Rajasekhara Reddy who had commissioned irrigation projects and brought many of them to near completion and the fraction of pending work could not be completed by Chandrababu Naidu.

When our government comes to power, we will ensure that irrigation will get its due share and will ensure that agriculture is profitable proposition and breathe life into farmers who are in distress and provide subsidies from inputs to marketing.

The government vacancies, numbering 2.3 lakh will be notified and village secretariats will be set up providing employment to locals and in industries we will bring in a legislation providing 75 % reservation to locals. Pensions will be increased to Rs 3,000 and the age will be reduced to 60 years.

While YS Jagan Mohan Reddy has assured the public meetings with his most favourite and well received slogan ‘I am with you’, YS Vijayama spoke about the contrast between YSR term and Chandrababu’s rule and asked the voters to ‘Give Jagan a chance’ and Sharmila reiterating the Navaratnas and corruption of Chandrababu Naidu has played to the gallery with the most popular phrases, ‘Lion will always come (hunt) alone’ and ‘Bye, Bye Babu.
