The Nirbhaya rape case has already tested the patience of the Indian citizens well enough. Since the Supreme Court ordered to hang the remaining four convicts, there has been a dramatic delay in its implementation. Finally, the date is set to hang these inhumane criminals and that will be February 1st. But here is the twist in the tale.
One of the four convicts Mukesh Singh, inf front of the court said that was sexually abused in the Tihar Jail. To be accurate, his lawyer claimed that his client was raped by an inmate named Akshay Singh. In the most dramatic fashion, the lawyer said that everything has happened in the supervision of the jail officials.
This happened when the Mukesh Singh refiled the petition begging the pardon of the President. He alleged the President that he hasn’t looked into his petition with heart and when the court ruled out his petition, he came up with this story.
The trial court has issued a death warrant for the four convicts Mukesh, Pawan Gupta, Vinay Kumar Sharma, and Akshay Kumar at 6 am on February 1. The convicts made several attempts to escape. Now, many doubt this as a gamble played to get saved from the death warrant issued.
