Producer and director Rohit Shetty, who has carved a niche for himself in films in a unique way, is gearing up largely for his upcoming comedy entertainer ‘Cirkus’. Reports from the sources say that the shoot began. Rohit has already booked acclaimed Mumbai-based Mehboob Studios for the shooting of his film. Makers planned to film next part of the schedule at Ooty and Goa along with other supporting actors.
Reportedly, Rohit is very excited about this film as he will be working in this film with passionate and intense actor Ranveer Singh. In a rather unconventional approach, Ranveer Singh will play a double role in this film.
The film is based on an adaptation of William Shakespeare’s plays- The Comedy of Errors that deals with series of events with mistakes having slapstick and mistaken identity in addition to pun.
The film bankrolled by Bhushan Kumar in collaboration with Reliance Entertainment will have an ensemble star studded cast, which includes Pooja Hegde, Jacqueline Fernandez, Varun Sharma, Siddhartha Jadhav, Johnny Lever, Sanjay Mishra among others. Cirkus is set to release in winter 2021.
