Raghurama Krishnam Raju’s yet another letter to Jagan!

Narasapuram MP and YSRCP member Raghurama Krishnam Raju is making all the headlines these days, with his many statements and actions that directly go against the decisions taken by the YSRCP government, or by Jagan himself.

Now, Raghurama Krishnam Raju wrote yet another letter to the Chief Minister, this time addressing the YSR Pension Kanuka. When Jagan first swore in as the Chief Minister on 30th May, 2019, he promised all the old-age pensioners that he would increase their pensions to Rs.3000, eventually, with an increase of Rs. 250 every year. Jagan also announced a reduction in age limit, from 65 years, to 60 years.

One installment of an increase of Rs. 250 was done last year itself, but the old age pensioners started to get this money from February this year. Raghurama Krishnam Raju wrote to the CM saying the same thing, pointing out that the increased money was supposed to reflect in the bank accounts of these pensioners from June last year. As a result of the delay, these old age pensioners have lost out on Rs. 15,750, in each of those seven months in between.

Raghurama Krishnam Raju requested the Chief Minister to make the second increment on the occasion of Y.S.Rajasekhar Reddy’s 71st birth anniversary on July 8th. He went on to add that it would be wonderful if the second increment was executed from August 1st, 2020.

Raghurama Krishnam Raju is indeed turning out to be a huge problem for the way YSRCP is working. Vijaya Sai Reddy has called Raghurama Krishnam Raju an opposition within the party, and Raghurama Krishnam Raju doesn’t seem to be interested in backing out any time soon.
