It is known that Congress leader Rahul Gandhi has taken up Bharat Jodo Yatra, which is now happening in Telangana. The Yatra will cover 19 Assembly and seven Parliamentary constituencies spanning about 375 km, before entering Maharashtra on November 7.
Tollywood actress Poonam Kaur today joined Rahul’s yatra. She walked with the MP and explained the problems of handloom workers to him. She urged Mr Gandhi to lift the 5 percent GST imposed on handlooms by the central government, remove taxes on handloom goods and reduce gas prices. Students from Osmania University also participated in this padayatra with the leader.
The Bharat Jodo Yatra that began on September 7 from Tamil Nadu’s Kanyakumari completed 52 days on October 29.
