Andhra Pradesh government has come up with one more sensational decision in welfare of the public. It would be extremely tough to consume the current ration rice, as it is of poor quality and also consists of 25 per cent of husk.
Identifying this, after working out all the possibilities, the minister for Civil Supplies Kodali Venkateswararao announced that the polished rice will be supplied to all the ration card holders from September this year. The new decision is to cause an extra burden of Rs 1,000 crore to the state government.

In a cabinet sub-committee meeting, where a group of ministers took participation, it was estimated that over six lakh metric tonnes of polished rice was required to meet the requirement of all the ration card holders in the state. Kodali stated that a large amount of rice was being diverted to foreign markets illegally and that they would take measures to control it.
Right after forming the government, Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy has come up with several decisions which were lauded by the public big time. Apart from fulfilling the promises he made, he is also coming up with the new welfare programs of this sort, which is expected to fetch big to the party and his government in the coming days.
