Police seize 2480 vehicles in a single day for violating lockdown orders

It’s a well known fact that Central Government has announced lockdown throughout the country. During this period, everyone is expected to stay at home and maintain social distancing, which is mandatory to eradicate spreading of the virus.

However, there are few, who had to come out for their daily chores. Unlike them, some irresponsible citizens have not followed the orders and roamed on motor vehicles. The Hyderabad police who were on duty has thrashed them and seized the vehicles on spot, which rose to a whopping number of 2480 in one day.

According to the lockdown orders protocol, only one individual should travel on a two-wheeler and a maximum of two persons are allowed in four wheeler unless it’s an emergency.

1058 Two-wheelers, 948 Three wheelers, 429 four-wheelers, and 45 other vehicles were seized. CM KCR earnestly asked the public to stay at home. But few who hasn’t paid heed to the words of C.M faced the worst consequences of violating the lockdown orders.

It seems that the seriousness of orders was understood by many yet. Currently, there is a curfew at Punjab as they expect many NRI’s to be returning to their state. In a similar fashion, the state governments in Telugu states might go to an extent to order a curfew for another week, unlike lockdown, if this continues.

Many videos of the police thrashing the violating citizens amidst corona outbreak is taking the Internet by storm. The state governments are planning to impose legal action against any citizen who do not abide by the law and orders.
