The Jubilee Hills police have registered a case against Jubilee Hills Cooperative House Building Society (JHCHBS) president & TV5 MD Ravindranath and JHCHBS treasurer Nagaraju under various sections for alleged irregularities in society land.
According to the police report, a man named Suresh Babu had lodged a complaint at the Jubilee Hills police station alleging that Ravindranath had sold land worth crores of rupees for a less price.
In his complaint, he said that the TV5 MD had sold about 365 yards of society land giving no information to the society committee. The land was sold to a woman named Parvati Devi for just Rs 45,000 a yard. Against this backdrop, the sale of the land, valued at over Rs 7 crore, has resulted in a loss of Rs. 5 Crore to society.
The officials said they are conducting a thorough investigation. However, another controversy erupted here as the GHMC officials also complained that their land had been confiscated. More details regarding the same are awaited.
