We know that Pokiri movie, directed Puri Jagannadh, was re-released in theatres on a wide scale on the occasion of Superstar Mahesh Babu’s birthday on Tuesday.
The tickets for the special shows were sold like hot cakes and the movie collected over Rs 1.65 Crore from 380+ shows worldwide. It is not an ordinary feat for any movie to create a sensation by collecting a huge sum after 16 years of its original release.
As we reported earlier, the revenue which was collected through the special shows will be donated to help children’s heart operations and education for underprivileged kids through Mahesh Babu’s Foundation.
On the movie front, Mahesh Babu will next be seen in director Trivikram Srinivas’ next, which is tentatively titled #SSMB28. He also has a movie with SS Rajamouli in the pipeline.
