India’s Prime minister Narendra Modi had been constantly keeping a tab of three vaccines at Pune Ahmedabad and Hyderabad. A second high level meeting was held today chaired by PM to review and determine certain covid-19 vaccine issues and about possible second wave of pandemic.
“India has fought the coronavirus in an unparallel manner. Our scientists are very confident of succeeding in their endeavour of making Covid vaccine. The world is keeping a watch on the cheapest & safe vaccine. That is why the world is watching India,” said Modi in the conference today.
The government has a lot to share about the resolution on the management of the coronavirus pandemic. The prime minister in today’s meeting along with all chief ministers affirmed to ensure free vaccines for everyone initially. For later stages reportedly, central government is now in discussions with the state governments and health ministers to arrive to a standard price and cap limit of Covid vaccine.
Earlier, Bharatiya Janata Party in Bihar made an election promise of free distribution of vaccine, while opposition parties demanded that it should be a nation’s interest by union government to take the lead more to amp up the vaccine programme in all states. It is learnt that Modi agreed for it.
