YSRCP member Margani Bharat met with Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla today, on the second day of his visit to Delhi. He accompanied Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy on his two-day Delhi trip, where he met with several Union Ministers.
Bharat has once again filed a petition to Om Birla, on the behalf of YSRCP as a whole, for the purpose of disqualifying YSRCP rebel MP Raghu Ramakrishna Raju from their party. The YSRCP had previously submitted a similar petition, but the petition was dismissed.
Bharat is said to have requested the Speaker to take a call on the petition quickly, as RRR has been violating the party’s discipline, and because he has been openly criticising the party’s leadership in media. Bharat is also said to have shown video proofs to the Speaker, wherein RRR can be seen criticising the YSRCP government.
On the other hand, Jagan met with Union Home Minister Amit Shah yesterday and is said to have discussed about RRR, among various other topics. Jagan is said to have requested Amit Shah to disqualify RRR from the Parliament, and he is also said to have explained his version to the arrest case of RRR. It is now to be seen what actions the BJP leaders will take against RRR, or if they will continue to remain silent.
