The Visakhapatnam harbor fire incident was a tragic one indeed, which caused the burning of nearly 45-60 boats, and caused the destruction of the livelihood of the families dependant on fishing. As such, Jana Sena Party leader Pawan Kalyan has made an announcement that he would be providing financial assistance of Rs. 50,000 to every family affected due to this fire.
He said that it is sad that this incident took place, and he wants to ensure that those whose livelihoods have been affected because of this fire, would find some respite with this financial assistance. The actor-turned-politician also said that it is sad that the Andhra Pradesh government doesn’t seem to be bothered about the welfare of the people, because the ruling YSRCP party has not made a single statement regarding this incident, or has taken any step to help those who have been affected because of it.
On the other hand, there is still no information regarding the reason for the occurrence of this incident. There is no clarity if it was arson, or if it was an unfortunate accident. The Vizag police department is said to be currently investigating and looking into the various possible angles.
