Bandla Ganesh turns Hero for acclaimed Tamil remake

Having made his mark as a comedian, producer, and finally a politician, Bandla Ganesh is now all set to entertain the audience as a lead hero. The ace actor is ready to test his luck as a protagonist in the Telugu remake of Tamil Blockbuster “Oththa Seruppu Size 7”.

To be directed by newcomer Venkat Chandra, the remake will be bankrolled by Swathi Chandra of Yash Rishi Films. The film, which was announced today, will go on the floors in the first week of September. The ‘Gabbar Singh’ director will reprise R Parthipen from the original. Arun Devineni has been roped in to crank the camera.

The critically-acclaimed ‘Oththa Seruppu Size 7’ had won the National Film Award (Special Jury Award) and the National Film Award for Best Audiography. The film also made it toLimca Book of Records for being a single-man movie. The Tamil crime thriller is also being remade in Hindi, with Abhishek Bachchan as the hero.
