The Amma Makkal Munnetra Kazhagam (AMMK) in Tamil Nadu has tied up with Asaduddin Owaisi’s AIMIM for the upcoming assembly polls in the state. AIMIM will contest from three constituencies, namely Vaniyambadi, Krishnagiri and Sankarapuram.
Though Owaisi’s party was keen on setting up an alliance with the Stalin led DMK alliance, the other Muslim parties in the state were not too satisfied with AIMIM joining the DMK alliance. This could be the reason why the Owaisi went ahead with TTV Dhinakaran’s party in an alliance.
Meanwhile, Asaduddin Owaisi would be sharing a stage with TTV Dhinakaran in Chennai on March 12. He will be joining a mega rally with the latter in Tamil Nadu.
The polls for Tamil Nadu and Puducherry will happen on April 6, and the results will be declared on May 2.
