Over-confident Jagan already aiming at 2024 elections

It seems, YSRCP Chief Jagan Mohan Reddy is over confident about his victory in the elections. While Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu has expressed his confidence in retaining the power, making a step ahead, Jagan said that he is expecting to repeat the victory in 2024 elections too.

Jagan recently met the political strategist of YSRCP, Prashant Kishor and also his team I-PAC (Indian Political Action Committee). Thanking all of them for the hard work, Jagan asked to continue the similar work to strengthen YSRCP at grass-roots.

Jagan opined that he coming to power is just a first step and asked everyone to work towards the success of YSRCP in 2024 elections too.

Addressing the I-PAC team, Jagan said, “Any politician would do Padayatra, but as I stretched it a little further, it boosted the confidence among the public and thus voted the party. You all have done your best to get the things done and there is a requirement to build it from the grassroots. The Jagan’s euphoria should be converted into cadre and should translate into you (I-PAC) guiding the governance. We should work on what things to be corrected and what not and thus strive for the best outcomes. Our dream, our vision probably not just getting into this space (CM chair). Getting into the space probably the first step. Now, the most important challenge would be to repeat this victory in 2024. That is what is going to be the challenge.”

There’s nothing wrong in having the confidence in winning the elections, as most of the political leaders would come out with that stuff, to boost the confidence among the party activists. But perceiving himself as a Chief Minister already and asking the team to focus on the next elections, is something that is disturbing the party insiders.
