The COVID-19 management in Andhra Pradesh is turning out disastrous from day to day. In the last 5 days, 206 people were dead due to this infection, and this rate, if related to the state’s population is very high when compared to the neighboring states. On average daily 40 people have been deceased in the past few days.
Though the government is conducting a higher number of tests, they are failing to protect the lives of patients who were tested positive. The healthier and the young age patients with higher immunity are getting discharged but the people at risk are not getting effective treatment as we can see from the latest reports and the complaints.
The AP government failed terribly to motivate the recovered patients to donate plasma to the people who are at risk and they also failed to treat patients at that level of efficacy which would protect their lives. Some people feel that it is better to stay at home than in hospital given the state of the hospitals in AP.
On the other side, the opposition is pointing out every mistake of the government. TDP chief CBN’s latest tweet reads – “It is atrocious to load people with suspected Covid-19 symptoms into an ambulance like a flock of sheep. Doing so puts even those who do not have the virus at risk of corona infection. Is this being done for publicity 108, or is it being done to increase more cases in the AP? And the AP should be protected by that God only,” This tweet is referring to a picture in which about dozens of COVID suspects were fitted into an ambulance.
At the time where the government is failing to protect people’s lives, these kinds of activities further increase the risk of infection to the people who are risk-free. So, Andhrites very worried about their future in this state with this type of management from the government.
