Story:

Krish (Sree Vishnu), Madhav (Rahul Ramakrishna), and Vinay (Priyadarshi) are 3 best friends from college who claim to be scientists with a Ph.D. degree. One day they go to a village called Bhairavapuram and start a company named Bang Bros, where they solve all the problems in the village. Seeing them grow in the village, they are challenged to uncover treasure hidden within the Sampangi Mahal, where locals fear a ghost known as Sampangi. How will the three of them find the treasure forms the rest of the plot.

What about on-screen performances?

Sree Vishnu as Krish is the show stealer of the film. His funny antics and dialogue delivery are one of the biggest highlights of the film. He has definitely shot up with his comedy timing from his previous film Samajavaragamana and he takes it to the next level with Om Bheem Bush. Especially the way he tells his English lines in a unique style is very funny.

Rahul Ramakrishna who plays Madhav entertains us with his trademark style of comedy and witty punchlines that never make any sense but bring in the laughs. It is actually the chemistry between the 3 lead characters that makes the comedy work big time in the film.

Priyadarshi as Vinay also provides the comedy that is expected out of him. From a vulnerable guy who is stuck between 2 mad guys to a funny guy who does slap-stick comedy with the ghost, he portrays both his shads with a lot of ease.

Heroines Preethi Mukundhan & Ayesha Khan provide the glamour that is required for the film but their roles do not add any weightage to the plot. They are fine in whatever limited scenes they have.

Mahindra is good in his part as the college senior turned Aghora who challenges the Bang Bros.

Priya Vadlamani sizzles in a special song & she looks very hot while Kamakshi Bhaskarla is neat in her small cameo in the beginning.

Srikanth Iyengar, Aditya Menon, Mahindra, Sunaina, Mirchi Kiran, Surya Srinivas, Manish, Racha Ravi, & others do the needful in their limited roles.

What about off-screen talents?

The story by Sree Harsha Konuganti is good enough for a mindless comedy film like this. The backdrop and the lead characterizations are refreshing. But the only issue is the horror element that never blended seamlessly into the comedy setup. The whole backstory and the love track of the ghost never raise any laughs and it is the part where the film goes a bit off track. These portions should have been cut short on the edit table.

The screenplay has its share of ups and downs. Yes, there are some hilarious episodes in the film but the humour isn’t the Gold standard as it looks very inconsistent. The first half is nicely poised with some passable fun episodes involving the trio and the same continues till the pre-climax. But, the whole pre-climax portion where the hero meets the ghost, the comedy starts falling down. Also, a couple of songs that come here test the patience level and the climax is not so convincing or funny.

Director Sree Harsha Konuganti does a neat job with his presentation. He sets up the characters and the world of Bang Bros in Bhairavapuram in an entertaining manner. Had he blended the horror element seamlessly into these comedy portions and cut short those dragged-out love scenes of the ghost the film would definitely have been a blockbuster.

The dialogues are very well written. The tongue-in-cheek humour and all the movie/pop-culture references used in the film are witty.

The music by Sunny MR is not up to the mark. None of the songs click in the film. Especially the Dil Dhadke song & The Wedding Song towards the end are totally unwanted and completely affect the flow of the film. The background score too out of sync in places and never takes the scenes to the next level.

The cinematography by Raj Thota is brilliant. His framing and the way he captures all the scenes add value to the overall output.

The edit by Vijay Vardhan Kavuri needed to be a lot more crisper. Almost about 20 minutes in the film could have been easily chopped off.

The production values by V Celluloid are solid.

What’s Hot?

* Sree Vishnu’s Performance & Comedy Timing
* Priyadarshi & Rahul Ramakrishna’s Comedy
* Few Hilarious Episodes
* Cinematography & Production Values
* Bang Bros Episodes & Good Interval Scene
* Witty Dialogues

What’s Not?

* Not So Convincing Ghost Scenes
* Poor Climax Portions
* Heroine’s Character Development
* Unwanted Songs & Average Background Score
* Weak Sub Plots
* Sree Vishnu’s Abrupt Transformation

Verdict: On the whole, Om Bheem Bush is a comedy entertainer that promises what it had with its caption which says “No Logic, only Magic”. Except for the climax ghost portions and a few pacing issues here and there, this can be a good pop-corn entertainer this weekend where you have to leave your brains at home and go to the theatres!
