Story:
Lakshmi gets married and also loses her husband at an early age. Thus her life falls into a dilemma. Unable to tolerate her at home, her family members leaves her at an old age home. Upset over this, Lakshmi remains sad with several unfulfilled wishes. She then gets a chance to become young with the support of Jagapathi Babu. Did she fulfill all her wishes and what are the troubles she faced in this journey is what answers the rest of ‘Oh Baby’.
Performances:
Samantha Akkineni nailed her performance in the role of an old lady who turns young. Though the movie is a remake, she brought a fresh breath of air to the film, with her identical style of acting.
Senior actress Lakshmi, after a long time, has got a substantial role in ‘Oh Baby’ and she lived up to the expectations. Rajendra Prasad needs no mention. He spreads decent laughs and even Rao Ramesh, Jagapathi Babu, Teja lived up to the expectations.
Technical highlights:
Nandini Reddy managed to bring the Korean subject into the Telugu taste with a right mix of emotions. There are enough entertainment episodes in the first half, but its the second half that lacks any such entertainment, as most of the scenes are carried away by serious episodes. Mickey J Meyer’s music is decent and so the production values. Lakshmi Bhupal’s dialogues are attractive.

Analysis:
Nandini Reddy has a habit of mixing comedy in the emotional scenes. Though the technique worked in her debut movie Ala Modalaindi, all her later movies gave her a disappointment. But it seems, the lady director has not learned from his mistakes and continued to repeat the same. As even the sentimental scenes of Oh Baby were treated in a comic way, the audiences fail to own the emotions and adding to it, due to the lack of strong screenplay, most of the second half becomes predictable and boring.
