The makers of KGF have announced that the film will be releasing on 14th April, 2022. What is interesting is that Prabhas’s Salaar was initially announced for theatrical release on 14th April.
Given the fact that Hombale Films are producing both Salaar and KGF, and they pushed the latter to Salaar’s release date, it can be understood that Salaar’s release has been postponed.
The horror show of Akshay Kumar’s Bell Bottom at the box office has pushed the makers of big-ticket projects into the defensive. So, the makers of A-listers like KGF 2, RRR, and others which bank on pan-India audiences have decided to postpone the release dates to next year.
Coming back to KGF 2, now that the Yash starrer has taken up Salaar’s release date, we need to wait for an official update on the new release date of Salaar. KGF 2 had wrapped up shoot a long while back and it is in final leg of post production now.
