In the modern age of smartphones and the widespread use of the Internet, students and young people are spending their time with themselves but some are forgetting about the great warriors who brought so much freedom and the national anthem that proclaims that the entire country is one.
The national anthem of India was originally composed by Rabindranath Tagore in 1911 and was sung many times in various stages. However, people used to sing it different tunes as they like. An Irish national gave the right tune to it in Madanapalle in Chittoor district. Since then, the place has had a respective name in the country.
But how many people actually know about the national anthem and its significance tuned in such a remote Telugu region? How many people can sing this national anthem correctly? If there is still a lack of understanding about the national anthem, who would have thought that tomorrow’s generation will know about the original national anthem?
Many people have been thinking about this and making their own efforts to create awareness among the people. But it was not entirely successful. While Punganur in Chittoor district has a special place in the country as the national anthem is sung every day, in some other places, the situation has occurred where the anthem is meant only for those who have achieved the same.
NTV founder Narendra Chowdhary is one of those who thought of raising awareness about this national anthem. Even before all the other national channels, Mr Chowdhary, the pride of the Telugu region, has taken an initiative in the name of ‘My Country – My Anthem’ and spread awareness about it in at least 105 places. His concern towards the cause is catching the attention of everyone now.
