Congress activists blocked the TRS candidate Nomula Bhagat from campaigning in Janareddy’s hometown.
This led to clashes between the activists of the two parties and tensions prevailed for an hour. As the Sagar by-polls are approaching, TRS candidate Nomula Bhagat and in-charge MLA Korukanti Chander entered the village of Anumula, the hometown of Congress candidate Janareddy, as a part of their campaign.
The TRS government was prevented from entering their village after it failed to fulfill the promises that they have given during the last elections. This led to a scuffle between the activists of the two parties. Congress activists got into an altercation with the police after Janareddy’s youngest son Jayaveer Reddy reached the spot.
The police used batons to disperse the two groups. The TRS candidate then continued his campaign. While returning from the campaign, Congress activists chased the TRS activists and tore the flexes on the vehicle.
