Andhra Pradesh State Election Commission Commissioner (SEC) Nimmagadda Ramesh Kumar is in a strange situation. The state election commissioner lost his right to vote in the AP. Nimmagadda Ramesh Kumar, who spoke to the media regarding the arrangements for the panchayat elections in AP, revealed this. The SEC said he would appeal to the Collector on the matter and would also go to court if necessary. Nimmagadda said he would vote in the panchayat elections if he had been given the right to vote.
Nimmagadda has lashed out at the state government for announcing incentives if consensus is reached without holding panchayat elections in AP. He said the government should not take any decision to directly or indirectly affect the elections once the election schedule is released.
