It is one more remake for Nikhil. Buoyed with the success of Arjun Suravaram, Nikhil had okayed another remake, this is a Tamil film released this year titled Oh My Kadavule. It is about two childhood friends marrying each other, while one of them has no romantic interest towards the other. At this point of time comes the second girl which turns the story. Labelled as a romantic fantasy or a comedy, it had done very well at the box office and the rights have been quickly procured.
Nikhil too is looking for a change in genre, he is doing a thriller which is a sequel to Kartikeya, then 18 Pages and now this remake. Well, remake stories are a safe bet these days, all the films done by actors from Venkatesh to Pawan Kalyan and Nikhil are remakes. People have no complaints despite the failure of Jaanu, because a big segment of the Telugu population hasn’t seen the original film. If made within a shoestring budget and a right casting it is sure to be a money spinner.
The casting is yet to be finalised, are the original actors Krithika Singh and Vani Bhojan being taken or will there be new girls? Watch this space for more news. As of Nikhil, he is happy listening to scripts and giving a green signal to the ones he takes a fancy to. A thriller, a love story and a romantic comedy. Well, a good choice we must say.
