OTT giant Netflix has scrapped one of its flagship web series’ – Baahubali: Before the Beginning. This Rs 150 crores mega project was called off, owing to the lackluster output churned out by the team.
Netflix management was not satisfied with the final product sculpted by the showrunners and they have opted to call off the project effective immediately.
Netflix had already spent in upwards of Rs 150 crores on this mega project but all these financial investments now go down the drain as the project has been shelved for good.
Bollywood actress Mrunal Thakur was approached to play the Sivagami role in the series and the makers assembled a strong core team for the project. But things did not fall into place and the project has now been shelved.
