Young hero Kiran Abbavaram’s film, Nenu Meeku Baaga Kavalsinavaadini under the direction of Sridhar Gade has hit the screens today. Let’s analyse it.

Story:

A cab driver named Vivek( Kiran Abbavaram) crosses paths with an alcoholic software employee Teju( Sanjana Anand). After saving Teju from goons, Vivek comes to know about the sad break-up love story of Teju. Later, friendship blooms between them which leads to twist towards the climax. What is the main conflict in the film? Who is Vivek? What is his backstory? To know that, you have to watch the film in the theatre.

On-screen performances:

Kiran Abbavaram is okay with his usual acting which we have seen in his previous films. The young actor tried to pull off the lead character on a decent note.

Heroine Sanjana Anand gets a purposeful role. Infact, the entire film revolves her character. Though Sanjana gave a good performance, lack of known face in the character might not get approval from the audience.

SV Krishna Reddy gave a decent performance in his father role. Baba Bhaskar is okay in his extended cameo role. Other artists such as Sameer are fine in their given roles.

Off-screen Talents:

Director Sridhar Gade’s idea of making a commerical entertainer by inserting elements such as family emotions, love in the plotline is good but he would have worked more on presenting the film on a gripping note.

Music composed by Mani Sharma is okay but no that great. While two songs are passable on screen, the background score lacks freshness in it.

The cinematography work by Raj Nalli is okay as he tried to showcase the entire film on a decent note. The editing work by Prawin Pudi is alright. Production values for this film bankrolled by Kodi Divyaa Entertainments are fine.

Positive Points:

  • Kiran Abbavaram
  • A few family emotions

Negative Points:

  • Routine template narrative
  • Ages old storyline

Verdict:

In an overview, Nenu Meeku Baaga Kavalsinavaadini is a youthful family drama that has a few enjoyable heroic elevations but lacks consistency in the narrative that comes a demerit. Adding to a couple of moments and a twist towards the climax, Kiran Abbavaram’s screen presence are advantages for the movie.
