Recently, the Polavaram project’s diaphragm wall was found damaged, after which it was stated that this was caused as a result of the 2019 floods, the pressure of which the wall couldn’t take, due to which it was destroyed. While the steps to be taken for the repair of the wall are still being contemplated, the political parties of Andhra Pradesh are busy pointing fingers at each other.
The YSRCP government said that it was the fault of the TDP government, which got a faulty wall constructed. In a recent speech, TDP chief Chandrababu Naidu now said that it is the fault of the YSRCP government, as the government pretty much destroyed the project with its reverse policies. He said that this was true in the case of everything that the YSRCP government took up after it came to power in 2019.
Naidu also highlighted every major setback the state faced after the YSRCP government came to power in 2019. He said that the government has pushed the state into the kind of depression that no state has ever seen in the history of the country.
