All has not been well between Telangana governor Tamilisai Soundararajan and the TRS government for a few months now. Ever since then, Chief Minister KCR has been ignoring the governor and even proceeded with the budget session without the governor’s speech first. The governor has taken a different approach, by not saying anything against the government for the most part, but making it clear that she was not going to back down at any cost.
The governor even set up a complaint box at Raj Bhavan, where the people of the state can put in their complaints regarding the Telangana government. She also said that she would pick up this move by a few notches from May, where she said she intends to hear the complaints the people have, in person. Now, before the governor can begin the same, the Telangana government has announced that every Monday would be a grievance day in Telangana hereon, where the people can share their complaints and grievances, which the government would look into.
The government reportedly took up this decision, fearing a bad name for the government, if the governor took things into her hands, and following the many complaints regarding works not proceeding forward in government offices. This move is also said to be in anticipation of the 2023 elections, with CM KCR already getting things into place to make sure he returns to power.
