The Andhra Pradesh government is forming various corporations under several names, including State Development Corporation, Medical College Corporation, Projects Corporation, Education Corporation, and others, and is converting government assets, and is getting loans through this process.
The opposition has been calling out the governetmn for this process, and now Jana Sena Party leader Nadendla Manohar has called all of these suitcase corporations, and those corporations played an important role in YS Jagan’s illegal assets case. Suitcase corporations are those corporations that are used to divert the funds of a corporation illegally, into the internal accounts of other corporations.
Vijayasai Reddy was the auditor for these corporations in the illegal assets case, and with the same thing being implemented by the AP government now, these are being propagated as Suitcase corporations as well. Opposition parties are trying to highlight this issue, and have even called for a boycott of the assembly earlier, to no avail though.
