Mythri Movie Makers rejected multiple offers from OTT platforms for the direct to digital rights of Uppena but they persisted on giving the film theatrical release. They couldn’t have been more accurate with their judgement of the film’s result as it is setting the box office on fire. Everyone involved with the film are minting huge profits.
Elated with Uppena‘s blockbuster run at the box office, Mythri Movie Makers are said to have flooded Vaisshnav Tej, Krithi Shetty and the director Buchi Babu Sana with bonus gifts.
Apparently, Mythri Movie Makers paid Vaisshnav Tej and Krithi Shetty Rs 1 crore and Rs 25 lakhs respectively very recently. This is more than what they had promised to pay the young actors before they were signed for the project. This is a token of appreciation.
Also, Mythri Movie Makers asked Buchi Babu Sana to pick between a costly apartment and a car as his gift. They are ready to offer him whatever he asks for.
Mythri Movie Makers were in a poor run of form prior to Uppena’s release and the tremendous success of the film gave them some much-needed josh. So, they are expressing their gratitude towards the lead cast and the director now.
