Mumbai police quashes allegations of tarnishing the image of SSR’s sisters

Sushant Singh’s death case has been a back burner and not even CBI could expose the truth yet. Of late Maharashtra congress too questioned the government as to why it is silent on the issue.

Much to the surprise of Sushant Singh’s supporters, Mumbai Police have made a statement against his sisters. They asserted Bombay High Court that were duty-bound to lodge FIR against SSR’s sisters as the grievance booked against them by Rhea Chakraborty “disclosed commission of offence”.

On Monday Mumbai Police produced an affidavit in the high court seeking dismissal of the plea registered by Priyanka Singh and Meetu Singh against them of forgery and fabrication claims of a medical prescription. Bandra Police booked the duo in September subsequent to Rhea Chakraborty’s complaint against them for using fake medical prescription by taking the support of an Delhi based doctor. Senior Police Nikhil Kapse firmly also quashed the accusations that Mumbai police tarnished the image of petitioners, sisters or the deceased actor.

FIR lodged at Mumbai sought investigation into accusation of conspiracy, forgery, cheating by petitioners, sisters of late actor, Dr Tarun Kumar and others for forging medical prescription to procure and administer controlled drugs/psychotropic substances to Sushant Singh Rajput without his knowledge. FIR also seeks probe into the possibility of aggravation of his mental health and eventual suicide pursuant to the said conspiracy,” the affidavit read.

A bench headed by justice SS Shinde and justice MS Karnik will analyze the petition for hearing tomorrow.
