Former Indian skipper and two-time world cup winning captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni, who retired from international cricket, is continuing his long-term bonding with the Chennai Super Kings franchise and he is leading the team in this year IPL as well.
Considering his age, many people thought that this could be MSD last season in the Indian Premier League. The legendary leader, who turned 40 on Wednesday, has remained quiet and never responded on his retirement from IPL lately.
However, CSK CEO Kasi Viswanathan said good news to fans of MSD that the skipper can continue for another couple of years with CSK. He said Dhoni is fully fit and trains a lot and he doesn’t find any reason to stop him from playing.
Viswanathan believed the CSK skipper is contributing both with the bat and captaincy at present and there is no immediate need for him to retire as of now.
