YSR Congress Party rebel MP Raghurama Krishna Raju, who has been slamming the ruling party in Andhra Pradesh, has landed in a trouble after the Cyberabad police booked him for allegedly assaulting a policeman.
The cops on Tuesday registered a case against the rebel MP for allegedly beating up a constable of the intelligence wing of Andhra Pradesh police late on Monday.
Constable Farooq Basha, in his complaint, named Raghurama Krishna Raju, his son Bharat, MP’s personal assistant Shastri, a CRPF constable and ASI in the First Information Report (FIR).
Farooq Basha alleged that he was attacked when he was discharging his official duties. In the complaint, the AP Constable mentioned that five persons including Raju attacked him and illegally confined in the MP’s house for three hours. He also alleged that his ID card and purse were snatched and the attackers abused him along with thrashing with sticks.
They were booked under various Sections of IPC, including Section 365 (kidnap), Section 384 (extortion), Section 342 (wrongful confinement), Section 506 (criminal intimidation).
