The movie Majili has got a huge pre-release buzz as Samantha and Naga Chaitanya appear on the screen together in this movie. Also, Siva Nirvana who directed ‘Ninnu Kori’ is one of the reasons behind the huge expectations. Read on for the full review.

Majili story-line:

Poorna (Naga Chaitanya) is shown as an irresponsible alcoholic person who ignores his wife and marital responsibilities. Sravani (Samantha) who is the wife of Poorna takes care of him despite him not reverting her love.

The movie goes into the flashback where Poorna is young. Poorna is a good cricketer who is well-talented. Poorna falls for a girl named Anshu who is the daughter of a Navy officer.

Anshu and Poorna get involved in a love relationship. Poorna’s aggressive attitude lands him in a trouble and he pulls himself out of his cricket team to join another team sponsored by a politician named Bhushan.

This mistake by him changes his whole life and Anshu is snatched away from Poorna. Sravani who loves Poorna from the beginning decides to marry him as she sees him wasting his life post-heartbreak.

Poorna and Sravani are the namesake couple and Poorna never allows Sravani to get closer to him. What situations bring them closer, who is Meera and what happens next is to be watched in the theaters only,

Roles and Performances:

Naga Chaitanya who has played the role of Poorna looks apt. The pain and the love failure-related emotions are well portrayed by this young hero. Naga Chaitanya has also performed well in action scenes.

Divyansha Kaushik’s role as Anshu was a short-term one. Divyansha’s role is justified well.

Samantha as Sravani has given a brilliant performance. The ever-longing for her love, that pain in her eyes is shown in the most subtle expressions. Samantha is one of the biggest plus points for the movie.

Posani Krishna Murali, Rao Ramesh, Suhaas and the other actors have justified their roles well.

Technical Aspects:

The bgm by SS Thaman is in sync with the screenplay. Though the narration appeared to be slowing down here and there, the screenplay makes it interesting for the viewer. The songs composed by Gopi Sunder are fresh and the feel goes along with the story narration. The production values are good with good camera work.

Final Review:

Majili is an ordinary story with extraordinary emotions bombarded in it. The emotional scenes are worth watching. A perfect love story to watch with the family this Ugadi.
