Prime Minister Narendra Modi attended the Bharatiya Janata Party’s National Executive Meeting held today, at Secudnerabad’s Parade grounds.
There was a lot of buzz surrounding the PM’s speech, as everyone was anticipating that Modi would launch a war of words against Telangana Chief Minister KCR, and the TRS government on the whole. However, this has not been the case.
Modi spoke about a lot of things but didn’t even mention the TRS government in any capacity or form. He simply said that the central government will always support Telangana and Hyderabad and that he hopes that every scheme that the central government launched, to aid the people of the country, is reaching those eligible for the same.
With Modi not referencing the TRS or KCR in any form, the TRS members are the most disappointed, as they seemed to have hoped to launch a national campaign, calling themselves the real competition for the BJP, and try to portray an image of the BJP being scared of the TRS.
Now that the PM didn’t even acknowledge them, it is a major setback, which also sends a message that the central BJP leadership doesn’t care much about state politics. It is now to be seen how the TRS and CM KCR will react to this.
