Telugu Desam Party chief, Nara Chandrababu Naidu, is leaving no stone unturned when it comes to fighting against the YSRCP government in Andhra Pradesh. He is seizing every opportunity to highlight, and talk about the various atrocities and injustices caused by the government in the state.
He spoke about the various arrests carried out by the AP police department recently, against those TDP leaders who expressed their opinions on the YSRCP government, on social media. He wrote a letter regarding the same, to AP DGP KV Rajendranath Reddy, on Sunday, asking him to stop the arrests. he said that these arrests go directly against the Supreme Court’s orders, which clearly state that no person should be arrested for making their opinions clear on social media.
He said that TDP activists including Garlapati Venkateswara Rao and Mokarla Sambasiva Rao have also been arrested, who are being subjected to physical torture by the police. The TDP chief wanted the DGP to intervene and stop the arrests by the CID sleuths. Chandrababu also said that the AP police department shouldn’t act like mere puppets of the YSRCP government, and should put the interests of the people ahead of the government.
