Chiranjeevi’s ‘Acharya’ was brought to a grinding halt due to Covid-19 outbreak and the unit will resume shoot later this year or early next. Meanwhile, Koratala Siva is working on finalizing the remaining star cast.
The makers are yet to take the final decision on the second female lead who will be pairing up Ram Charan. Sai Pallavi was approached for the role, but latest rumors suggest that she has turned down the offer. But there has been some progress in regard to a crucial role in the film.
Going by the latest buzz, the makers have finalized Tamannaah for a cameo role in the film. The milky beauty will be making a special appearance and also shake a leg in a special dance number. Her role will be brief but it will pack a punch, say reports. She might be signing the dotted line soon.
Tamannaah previously played a brief role in Chiranjeevi’s ‘Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy’. She is playing a full-length role in Gopichand’s ‘Seetimaarr’ which will be her next film.
Coming to Acharya, less than 50% of the shoot has been completed till date. Koratala Siva is planning to get things done quickly and wrap up shoot at the earliest once the conditions are favorable for film shootings. Matinee Entertainments and Konidela Productions are bankrolling the film. Kajal is pairing up with Chiranjeevi.
