The untimely demise of senior film editor Gowtham Raju has come as a huge shock to the Telugu film industry. The veteran editor breathed his last in the wee hours of Wednesday at the age of 68.
Megastar Chiranjeevi said on social media that he was deeply saddened after hearing the news of the passing away of Gowtham Raju. The ace actor, who is known for his generous nature, has offered financial aid to the family of the deceased editor. Chiru has contributed Rs 2 lakh to the family towards meeting immediate expenses. Veteran filmmaker Tammareddy Bharadwaj handed over the amount to Raju’s family members.
Tammareddy revealed that Megastar has assured him that the Telugu film industry will support Gowtham Raju’s family.
The veteran editor had been suffering from a kidney-related ailment for some time now. He was hospitalized for the same before his demise.
