With lock down imposed, Telugu people have no where to go and their major source of entertainment has turned to be Television. Suddenly entertainment channels have seen spike in their TRP ratings.
However there are no new films in TV to telecast. Sarileru Neekevvaru was telecasted during the festival season and registered record TRP. However old films have been generating good TRPs to the channels which is an encouraging news.
Last week few films have been telecasted and of them mega movies have got good TRPs. Though Ram Charan’s Vinaya Vidheya Rama is a flop, it has generated 7.53 TRPs. Even Dhruva which was telecasted many time before has got 5.95 TRPs, Gaddalakonda Ganesh has generated 5.7 and Geetha Govindam has generated 5.4 TRPs.
We can clearly see mega family domination in the movies last week. While the regular news channels failed to hike up the ratings it is Etv (General Entertainment Channel) with its news bulletins have managed to get more than 10 TVRs last week.
