As we had reported earlier, Sai Dharam Tej will be seen as a young IAS officer in his upcoming film that will have Deva Katta at the helm. Touted to be an intense social drama, the film will commence shoot in the coming months.
Speaking about his role in the film, Sai says, “I played typical commerical roles in my last 2 films. I wanted to mix things up and Deva Katta approached me with this story. I play an intense and hard-hitting role in the film. I have started preparing to mould myself to play bureaucrat on screen.”
Sai Dharam Tej said he is doing some research on the journeys of young IAS officers across the country and their life stories in order to get a better understanding of bureaucracy.
“The film has a fictional story but it is ultimately inspired from the lives of young IAS officers. We will show many underlying problems and social issues in the film,” he said.
This as-yet-untitled project had already commenced shoot and a minor portion of the film was shot prior to the lockdown. The remaining portion will be shot in various parts of the country.
The film has Nivetha Pethuraj in lady lead role. Ramya Krishna will be seen as a chief minister.
