Masks once again made compulsory in Telangana

The second wave of the coronavirus pandemic was an unforeseen event for everyone, which turned out to be a lot more devastating for everyone than the first wave. After the second wave, people have started to be more careful, and wary of a possible third wave. With the rapid spread of Omicron, a new variant of coronavirus, every state in the country is being careful.

The government of Telangana has once again made it compulsory for everyone to wear masks in public, and made coronavirus appropriate behaviour compulsory, when in public. Those who fail to wear a mask are going to be charged Rs. 1000 as a penalty. This rule has been in effect since the onset of the coronavirus pandemic.

It has also been made compulsory for citizens to carry their vaccination certificates with them, when in public, and those who haven’t yet been vaccinated, have been asked to do so at the earliest. The process of vaccination has also been expedited in the state, with around 90 per cent of the 2.77 crore targeted people in the state having so far taken the first dose while 45 per cent have taken the second dose.
