Maharashtra, which is recovering from the second wave of corona virus is slowly again moving towards lockdown. With the recent death of a woman due to the Delta Plus variant of the corona, the state government alerted and imposed lockdown restrictions before it could boom further. Chief Secretary Sitaram Kunti has directed the authorities to enforce ‘Level 3’ sanctions in all districts.
“A variety of coronas variants are evolving with genetic mutations. They will weaken the immune system. So all the districts have to implement the Level 3 sanctions before the conditions in the state worsened,” Sitaram Kunti said.
As part of the ‘Level-3’ restrictions, restaurants, gyms, salons and spas will be allowed up to 4 pm with 50 per cent capacity. Private offices also open with 50 per cent staff. Only 50 guests are allowed for weddings and 20 for funerals.
