The makers of Allu Arjun and Rashmika Mandanna’s Pushpa on Thursday announced that Lyca Productions has bagged the Tamil Nadu theatrical rights of the Sukumar directorial for Rs 6 crores. The news was shared on Twitter by the film’s Twitter account.
“#PushpaTheRise keeps getting huge with time. Grand release in Tamil Nadu by the prestigious @LycaProductions,” the makers wrote.
Pushpa will be released in two parts. The film is set for theatrical release on December 17. The raw and rustic pan India film will also be released in Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, and Malayalam. Notably, Lyca Productions had already bought the rights of SS Rajamouli’s RRR.
The film also stars Malayalam actor Fahadh Faasil as the lead antagonist. The cast also includes Sunil and Anasuya Bharadwaj in prominent roles. Based on red sandalwood smuggling, Pushpa is being produced by Maitree Movie Makers.
