Nara Lokesh, the former IT Minister of Andhra Pradesh and the rumoured future supremo of Telugu Desam party took the party matters in his hands. It is understood that Chandra Babu Naidu, with his age can’t come out into the public in this pandemic situation and Nara Lokesh has been touring the villages on behalf of his father.
Now, the TDP cadre found some josh in them as Lokesh has been making some serious allegations on Jagan Mohan Reddy’s government. In a most dramatic way, Chinna Babu went to Anantapur district yesterday to console farmers. He went directly into the fields. A submerged crop was picked up by hand and the situation was reviewed on the spot.
With the arrival of Lokesh, the TDP cadre spread a word that festive weather prevailed in Anantapur TDP. All the TDP leaders in the district queued up and gathered around Lokesh. He was assisted by the local leaders all along the way.
With this development, the leaders said that the current stalemate in the district TDP has been completely removed and the party has revived. There have been comments that youth participation will increase in the coming days, especially with young leaders following Lokesh. However, Lokesh cites this as an example of the beginning of the era.
Now, one section of the media has shown Lokesh’s effect and the other section completely ignored the topic. However, it is being said that many leaders expressed their dissatisfaction over the allotment of the parliamentary committee posts and they are very much worried with the emergence of YSRCP in Rayalaseema big time.
It seems Lokesh had no answers to some intense questions from the leaders. Many opined CBN could’ve toured instead of Lokesh but some TDP circles say that Lokesh was sent on-field as the leaders are not paying attention to the Zoom Call meetings by Chandra Babu. This is some step took by Naidu to make Lokesh a recognisable force in the state and let’s see how it works.
