Lockdown might be removed but WFH continues?

In this COVID-19 pandemic, the ‘Work From Home’ choice has been adopted by several companies and organizes so that they wouldn’t run into losses in this Corona Virus menace.

Though it is a forcible choice in this given situation, many companies have already started to feel its advantages and benefits. They are thinking to continue it forever considering the cost-cutting aspect. Many midrange and small companies are appreciating this phenomenon and want to utilize it to the most.

The CEO of an IT Company says, “We have about 200 employees and this Work From Home concept hasn’t disrupted the flow of our work. Indeed everything is falling in place and we are being saved a lot of money in this crisis period. It takes about 10 lakhs per month to accommodate all our employees in one place and for other costs. But now we cut that cost to 60% if we shift to smaller premises, by allowing a considerable number of employees to work from home.”

An IT employee says that he would be thrilled if this continues forever as he deals with programming and his present project doesn’t demand onsite functioning. Many opine that this concept in mutually beneficiary for both employee and employer. It also saves energy from many and there is no need to suffer any traffic jams and no fuel costs would be a burden.

So, we can expect this ‘Work From Home’ will be continued forever at least in small and mid-range companies.
