Rana Daggubati made his film debut in the 2010 film “Leader,” directed by Sekhar Kammula which was acclaimed for its political storyline that reflected Andhra Pradesh politics.
The film received critical acclaim and box financial success. Sree Venkateshwara Cinemas is currently producing a sequel, which will be directed by Kammula. This is their third collaboration, following “Love Story” (2021) and a planned multi-starrer.
Although casting details have not been announced, Rana Daggubati is set to return to his role as Arjun Prasad, the young Chief Minister. Mickey J Meyer will compose the music. While the original cast included Priya Anand and Richa Gangopadhyay, the new cast has yet to be named.
