Layoffs fever: 90000 H1B visa holders future in trouble

The economy of USA got impacted by the Covid-19 and several H1B visa holders are now in trouble. As per the statistics, around 90000 H1B visa holders’ future is now in trouble. Due to the layoffs, these H1B visa holders are left with no option in USA.

Several companies were pledging against layoffs but few companies related to the aviation sector are facing the unfortunate situation. Most of the companies were ending the contracts of the consultants and these temporary workers are now facing deep trouble. It seems that few people already started moving back to the home country while few are waiting for the grace period to expire.

With USA temporarily suspending premium processing, it is becoming tough for the candidates who lost the jobs due to the layoffs. As several Americans too were getting impacted by the layoffs, US Government is making sure that the Americans will be considered first for the open positions. Tough time for the NRIs
