After watching Saahoo, few critics and audience have expressed that it seems to be very similar to Largo Winch which was directed by Jérôme Salle.
A few sections of audience even felt that the overall theme of Saaho matches to Largo Winch and feel that it is a straight adaptation. After his tweet, “I think I have a promising career in India,” Jerome again took to the social media platform to express his disappointment.
He took to twitter and posted, “It seems this second “freemake” of Largo Winch is as bad as the first one. So please Telugu directors, if you steal my work, at least do it properly? And as my “Indian career” tweet was of course ironic, I’m sorry but I’m not gonna be able to help.”
Well, this is the second Telugu film to land in plagiarism issue after Agnyathavaasi which also faced similar charges. After the worldwide release of Agnyaathavaasi, directed Jérôme Salle, who watched the movie on tweeted, “Screening at #LeBrady tonight. Great atmosphere thanks to the audience. I could’ve loved the movie but unfortunately the plot was too familiar. #LargoWinch #Agnyaathavaasi.”
Meanwhile, Saahoo is shattering all the box office records with its rainy collections.
