It is known that Lakshmi Parvathi has been appointed as the Chairperson of Andhra Pradesh Telugu Academy. Now the state government has assigned cabinet rank to the post.
Lakshmi Parvathi has joined in YSRCP in 2014 and had been serving the party since then. There were numerous instances when she strictly went against the TDP Chief Chandrababu Naidu. Even just before the last assembly elections, the woman YSRCP leader was blamed that she sexually harassed a man. Lakshmi Parvathi complained against Naidu, saying that it was him behind the entire scene.

So, as she is one among those few leaders of YSRCP, who do not mind to lash out at Naidu anytime, Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy always gave required importance to her in the party. Even when the state government had been facing the heat from all the sides about the non availability of sand in the state, she raised her voice in support of the government.
So, for proving her existence and staying loyal to his towards YSRCP for so many years, the dynamic CM has offered her the cabinet rank post. The ex-wife of NTR, will continue in the post for two years.
