Kushi box office – To lose 15 crores of money

Kushi featuring Vijay Deverakonda and Samantha was in the making for over two years. It got stuck with its shoot as Samantha fell sick and the shoot was halted. Somehow she completed the film which was released on September 1, 2023.

The film had a passable word of mouth but as the songs of the film composed by Hesham Abdul Wahab were good and there was no competition, the film opened quite well on day one. In just three days itself, Kushi made 70 crores gross which was just spuerb.

But once the weekdays started, the film fell like a pack of cards and just did not pick up. The total share of the film in the first weekend was 35 crores and until now, Kushi has made an extra five crores which is quite less. The total share of the film is 40 crores to date.

But as the film was solid for 55 crores, Kushi has recovered only 70% of the money. The distributors will lose close to 15 crores which is a big amount. But Mythri Movie Makers are in full profits as they have pocketed a big amount from nontheatrical rights of the film like OTT, satellite, and music rights.
