After losing out on the sarpanch seat in Yalamarru, Kodali Nani has made some shocking statements with the media, on Yalamarru. He said that Yalamarru is not really his native, but is the native of his ancestors. He said that a few people are spreading false news, on the behest of TDP Chief Chandrababu Naidu, and that he would give all of them a strong counter after the 21st.
In Krishna district’s Pedaparupudi Mandal’s Yalamarru, TDP backed candidate Kolluri Anusha has won with a majority of 271 votes. Out of 12 wards, TDP backed candidates have won in 11 wards, while one ward was won by a person backed by the YSRCP.
On this account, TDP supporters have been celebrating greatly, on social media and otherwise as well. Many are even commenting that the loss in Yalamarru was a major disappointment for Nani, one which he did not see coming.
The YSRCP has been getting mixed results in the ongoing local elections. Several political analysts are saying that this is due to the strong, ever-growing anti-government sentiments in Andhra Pradesh, against the ruling party.
